Introduction

Our most affordable AC regenerator, the Stellar PowerPlant 3 protects, purifies, and powers sources and small-to-medium-sized systems. Built as an evolution of the P12, P15, and P20, it generates sine-wave-perfect, regulated, high-current AC power from your home’s mains. Problems such as low voltage, distorted waveforms, sagging power, and noise are eliminated—delivering far better dynamics, more authoritative bass, and a wider, more open soundstage than any passive conditioner.

Design

The P3 features an ultra-low-impedance analog AC power amplifier, pure DSD FPGA-based analog sine-wave regenerator, and low-distortion, high-dynamic-peak-capable outputs found only in PS Audio PowerPlants. Designed for elegant simplicity, it’s a true plug-and-play device that provides perfect power and worry-free protection from surges, spikes, and ugly mains anomalies.

Application

Delivering 300 W of continuous power with peaks up to 1,000 W, the P3 is ideal for source components or entire systems using small-to-medium class AB amps or high-efficiency Class D amps (e.g., Stellar M700 monoblocks). It ensures you hear everything your system can offer, every time you listen.

Technology Overview

The Stellar P3 converts incoming AC to DC—akin to battery output—then regenerates a fresh, perfect sine-wave AC using patented PS Audio technology. In this process, line issues (low voltage, distorted waveforms, flat-topping, noise) are completely removed. State-of-the-art clamping devices protect the input, and the fully regulated output safeguards your gear from large voltage swings. With output impedance below 0.008 Ω (vs. 0.4 Ω typical), even the most power-hungry amplifiers never starve for current. MultiWave technology extends the sine-wave peak, increasing energy storage and reducing ripple, for a noticeably more musical presentation.
