Introduction
The T-1200 is Accuphase’s state-of-the-art broadcast tuner, engineered to deliver the quietest, most stable reception of FM, Medium Wave, and Long Wave broadcasts. With its refined analog front end, digital phase-locked loop, and precision frequency display, it extracts the maximum musicality from every station.
Design
Encased in a rigid, low-resonance aluminum chassis, the T-1200 isolates its sensitive RF circuitry from mechanical and electrical interference. Its dual-conversion FM section uses high-linearity mixers and a precision ceramic filter for ultra-low spurious noise. A fully differential, zero-feedback audio output stage preserves dynamic clarity when feeding any downstream preamplifier or integrated amplifier.
Application
Ideal as the broadcast-tuner centerpiece of a high-end two-channel or multi-source system, the T-1200 offers seamless integration via balanced XLR and single-ended RCA outputs. Programmable memory presets, seek-tune auto-scan, and fine-tune adjustments ensure you can lock in your favorite stations with precision and recall them instantly.
Technology Overview
- Dual-Conversion FM Tuner
First-stage down-conversion at 10.7 MHz followed by a 455 kHz IF stage ensures exceptional image rejection and selectivity, supported by a high-Q ceramic filter. - Digital PLL Synthesizer
Microprocessor-controlled phase-locked loop delivers rock-steady tuning accuracy, minimal drift, and 10 Hz tuning resolution. - High-Slew-Rate Output Stage
A discrete Class A FET buffer drives both balanced and unbalanced outputs without adding distortion or noise. - Advanced Noise Gate & Blend Circuit
FM stereo noise gate and mono blend functions reduce noise on weak signals, preserving musical detail in fringe reception areas.
