Design

Built on a monolithic aluminum chassis with a low center of gravity, the DP-450’s CD transport is supported by high-quality elastic dampers that isolate the lens actuator from vibration. A top-loading disc drawer with hydraulic damping ensures whisper-quiet operation, while a dual-toroidal power-supply design separates analog and digital circuits for ultra-low noise.

Application

Use the DP-450 as a standalone SACD/CD player with its built-in analog outputs, or as a transport feeding an external DAC via its dedicated digital outputs. Its USB and digital inputs also allow the DP-450 to serve as a high-performance DAC for computers and other sources. Programmable playlists, phase-invert switching, and a real-time display of sampling frequency and bit depth make it equally at home in audiophile systems and professional listening suites.
