Product Description

— Product Description

Introduction

Building on a legacy that began with the groundbreaking DG-28 in 1997, the DG-68 refines the art of room tuning and tonal shaping with fully digital precision. This fifth-generation Voicing Equalizer lets you tailor the acoustic environment and frequency response of your system to perfection, unlocking previously hidden musical detail and realism.

Design

At its core is a high-definition color IPS LCD touchscreen, paired with a stylus pen for intuitive “draw your own curve” control. A robust aluminum chassis with hairline‐finished top plate and elegant wooden side panels houses both the electronics and a precision sound-field measurement microphone. All critical circuitry—from A/D conversion to DSP to D/A conversion—uses high-accuracy, 40-bit floating-point processing to ensure transparency and ultra-low noise.

Application

Install the DG-68 between your preamplifier (or integrated amp) and power amplifiers to perform room-specific voicing compensation, graphic equalization, or real-time spectrum analysis. Save multiple voicing or EQ presets—and even on-screen screenshots—to a USB flash drive for quick recall. Whether you’re correcting low-frequency room modes or fine-tuning midrange warmth, the DG-68 gives you surgical control over every aspect of your system’s tonal balance.

Technology Overview

  • Voicing Compensation
Uses an internal warble-tone generator and included measurement mic to capture room anomalies, then applies up to 80 bands of correction (20 Hz–100 kHz) with “Smooth Voicing” to prevent over-correction at speaker limits.
  • Graphic Equalizer
Offers manual, band-by-band adjustment across the same 80-band range, drawn directly on the display or stepped via front-panel controls.
  • Spectrum Analyzer
Displays real-time 35-band analysis (up to 50 kHz) of incoming music, helping you identify frequencies that need correction or enhancement.
