Introduction
To mark its 50th anniversary, Accuphase redefines Class-A performance with the A-300. This flagship monoblock amplifier delivers ultra-linear, constant-voltage drive and astonishing detail—bringing music to life with absolute silence and rock-steady power.
Design
Built around a massive low-vibration aluminum chassis, the A-300 employs twenty parallel push-pull power MOS-FETs per channel in a pure Class-A output stage. Dual toroidal transformers feed separate power rails for drive and signal sections, while a fully discrete balanced input amplifier sits close to the terminals for minimal noise and optimal fidelity.
Application
Ideal for reference-level two-channel systems, a pair of A-300 monoblocks can be placed directly on each speaker or run into a preamplifier. Their steadfast damping and high current reserves make them perfect partners for demanding floor-standers, electrostats, or multi-way speakers—delivering effortless dynamics at any volume.
Technology Overview
- 20-Parallel Push-Pull MOS-FET Output
Delivers 125 W into 8 Ω, 250 W into 4 Ω, 500 W into 2 Ω, and 1,000 W into 1 Ω in pure Class-A. - Instrumentation Amplifier Principle
Ensures ideal gain distribution and ultra-low noise by operating two balanced input amplifiers in parallel. - Current-Feedback Topology & Double MCS+
Tightens transient response and optimizes stability across all loads. - Balanced Remote Sensing
Compensates for speaker-cable voltage drops, maintaining constant voltage at the loudspeaker terminals. - High Damping Factor (1,000+)
Provides rock-steady control over speaker drivers for fast, articulate bass and tight midrange.
